The Ova Freebird has been modernised for the 2018 season. A new core constructed from paulownia, carbon and fibreglass has saved a huge 750g per pair meaning the total weight is now down to around 2250g per pair. A more progressive rise to the tail along with a more subtle flex allows the Ova Freebird to pivot beautifully and still be a solid performer on hard snow. The Ova Freebird has been designed to be a very good mountaineering ski, particularly for technical descents where precision, edge hold and weight can make all of the difference.
Features:
Cap construction
Paulownia wood core with mixed fibre glass and carbon
Reinforced titanal under bindings
Radius: 17m
Weight: 2250g/pair @ 175.2 cm
Sidecut: 122, 85, 105 mm @ 170cm
Light rocker – provides stability and good edge grip with a small pivot
Extra-long classic camber – an extended ski/snow contact for alpine style turns
Short turning radius – very agile on smooth surfaces and crud
