As the ski flexes during a turn, piezoelectric fibers transform kinetic energy into electrical energy which is then stored in the KERS chip on the ski. Carefully programmed sensors along the ski then detect when and where extra energy is required during a turn to counteract the natural oscillation and see you fly past the competition.
