One rung down from the fully fledged FIS models, the Head World Cup Rebels i.GS RD Pro ski offers premium downhill performance in a wider variety of lengths and a more forgiving construction. Sharing much of the same technology as the i.GS RD, the i.GS RD Pro delivers explosive acceleration, supreme balance and faultless control. The World Cup construction sandwiches a wooden core with two titanal layers for rigidity and responsiveness, along with a Graphene sheet to further boost the stiffness whilst keeping the weight down.
Unique to Head's performance skis is the KERS chip and Intelligence Technology. KERS works using the same principle as in Formula 1 cars. 'Itellifibres' the length of the ski transform kinetic energy generated during the turn into electric energy which is stored in the KERS chip on the tail. This electric energy is then used to stiffen up the tail of the ski, providing rapid acceleration during the exit of the turn. Intelligence Technology takes this a step further. The Intellifibres placed in front of the binding release the converted kinetic energy bit by bit to counter the oscillation of the ski, acting like a real-time counter weight to minimise tip vibration. This results in less wobble on the straights and a solid edge hold through the turn.
