Cleeves Palmer's connections with the Amstutz family took him to Switzerland and introduced him to the founding fathers of competitive alpine skiing and the Kandahar. In the last year of his presidency of the world's senior ski racing club, Cleeves looks back on nearly half a century of holidays in 'magical Murren' and shares his memories of skiing there with heroes, friends and family. On his way up the ladder from humble assistant course setter to Kandahar President, Cleeves crosses paths with Royalty and sporting greats and reflects on his own racing achievements.
