Avalanche safety airbag backpacks are a safety aid to help keep you nearer the surface of an avalanche to help you get found quicker.

The airbag inflates in a similar way to a car air bag and is activated by the pull cord handle on the shoulder strap. In the unfortunate event of an avalanche pull the inflation handle and the airbag will inflate around your shoulders and neck in 3 seconds. The extra size that the 150L airbag creates helps to bring you towards the surface. 

The Snowpulse rucksack has a quick access compartment dedicated to rescue equipment for your probe and shovel. The side compression straps helps hold the contents in securely in place.
