Ortovox - 240 Economic probe

The beginner's probe with a very low weight. With a 240 cm length the Economic weighs just 230 grams. This is achieved by an aluminum tube with a diameter of 11 mm. The probe is stretched classically with a screw cap, in which the Kevlar draw line is clamped. The burial depth can be read on the probe segments. 

Like all Ortovox probes, the 240 Economic is delivered with a practical quick-release cover.

AL 7075 T6

Light and stiff and thus the aluminum of choice for all Ortovox aluminum probes. They use different tube diameters of 11-13 mm – here it means: the thinner the lighter, but less stiff.

Quick-release cover

All Ortovox probes are delivered with the high quality cover system that does not use any drawstrings at all. Just compress the opening and pull out probe.

Screw cap

The eco-probes are tensioned via the Kevlar® draw line. Then the screw cap can be adjusted to increase the holding force.
