The Marker Griffon 12 Freestyle Ski Binding is a new binding in the Marker range for this year. Based on the same principle as the succesful Jester of last year, but with a lower DIN setting and consequently a lighter weight. If you're a high-performance minded freeskier who wants a light weight, secure binding for the ultimate combination of pipe, park, or lift-served powder skiing performance, then this is definitely the binding for you.
Combining lightness, durability and good retention to make sure you don't come out when you don't want to, closer and wider mounting points also make the ski perform better - this has got to be the ultimate freeski binding available. If you enjoy riding switch, the Jester has a level standing position to help the ski perform the same in whichever direction you're skiing. With many of the world’s top freeskiers, including Eric Pollard, Pep Fujas and Shane McConkey on the Marker team, these bindings are set to be big!
This is our recommended binding for all our twin-tip freestyle and freeride skis. If you're a fan of the Look Pivot and Rossignol Axial turntable bindings, then you'll definitely like the Marker Griffon or it's bigger brother the Jester 16. It performs in a similar way but has the following unique features:

- The ‘Triple Pivot Elite Toe’ & ‘Inter-Pivot Heel’ gives you superior holding power for freestyle skiing. The heel directs the forces towards your boot, holding you in more securely, but releasing when you need them to.
- Power Width Design – The wider binding mounting points gives you more edge control on wide bodied skis. Recommended for all skis over 74mm wide.
- Low stand height for better landings – 23mm.
- Flat ramp angle for better switch riding.
- The unique shorter binding mounting position, creates a more centralized feel. This makes it easier to swing the skis and rotate in the air.
