Zak Vinter, an aspiring young skiing athlete touted as the sport’s answer to Andy Murray, has secured financial backing from Le Chardon Mountain Lodges, a Scottish company who owns and operates luxury ski lodges in Val d’Isere. The deal follows an appeal for funding by Zak Vinter earlier this year to support his bid to train all year round, with the ultimate goal of competing in the Junior World Alpine Ski Championships in Sweden – a major stepping stone to the 2018 Winter Olympics.
